InsideOut Mentors is a nonprofit organization that focuses on mentorship of the youth and community. Through a Christ-centered focus, we aim to build strong trusting relationships that motivate and guide our youth and community toward their purpose.

Mission is who you are and purpose is why you exist. InsideOut Mentors mission is to Love God, Lead People, and Make a Difference. We believe in living our core values through mentoring. We believe that true transformation starts from the InsideOut and you cannot do this alone.

Many educational materials in local languages are often out of date. We work with school leaders and publishers to ensure that students have access to current textbooks that are age appropriate and written in their primary language.

A great mentor cannot be with you at all times to help through every decision and situation. But they can help you determine which relationships to value and strengthen, so that your network of support is broad and healthy.

Relationships

First and foremost, a good mentor is an available one. The last thing you’d want is to have your time and effort wasted if a mentor is unable to commit to engaging with you regularly. You need a mentor who is able to dedicate time to your development without being distracted by their own projects. Of course, they’re just as busy as anyone else, but if they commit to you, then your time with them is your time. Likewise, don’t betray their commitment with half-hearted effort. Have a goal for every one-on-one meeting and come prepared with an agenda, keeping your objectives top of mind and tracking to your shared plan.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live their full potential, and that our campus and community are stronger when they are full of opportunities for people with diverse identities, backgrounds and perspectives. We prioritize action over intention and are working every day to guide community to their purpose.

Mentorship is about giving but mentors also receive. The beauty of an authentic relationship is its reciprocity. Mentees give back to their mentors in a meaningful way. Iron sharpens iron.
